Wooden crates for packaging in Isola della Scala, Verona

Wooden crates stacked on top of each other

Over the years, the Cooperativa La Radice has developed increasingly cutting-edge and efficient methodologies in the design and production of wooden packaging, ideal for numerous types of transport that require a high level of protection and safety for the products contained. Thanks to the robustness and waterproof characteristics of wooden packaging, it is also possible to use these types of crates for sea and air transport.

Sturdy packaging
This type of packaging is tailor-made, finding a solution that satisfies any need. They are optimal for sea and air transport. They can be produced entirely with fir wood or mixed with fir wood and phenolic plywood or OSB, or completely in OSB or phenolic plywood. The latter materials do not require phytosanitary treatment as required by the regulations.

The boxes can be supplied with:
- Coupled barrier or barrier bag which guarantees waterproofness and resistance to atmospheric agents, preventing damage to the material to be packaged;
- Dehydrating salts positioned inside the barrier bag, necessary to create a dry environment;
- VCI type of packaging applied inside the case which guarantees complete protection from the humidity of ferrous metals.
- Shock Watch impact indicators are applied inside the packaging to detect and record any impacts or sudden movements during transport. Recommended if the crate has to transport fragile material.
- Inspection windows to facilitate the control of the contents inside the package, which could occur during routine customs inspections.

Wine bottle boxes
For years, our company has specialized in the production of custom-made wine bottle crates, caskets or cases. These packages are usually made of birch or fir plywood if required. We are also able to supply cassettes with a personalized logo, thanks to the collaboration with a screen printing company that carries out the work via direct printing.
